ROTTERDAM – John A. Aniolek, 72, peacefully passed at home, Saturday, February 19, 2011 surrounded by his family after a long illness.
Born in Rotterdam, he was the son of the late Theodore and Rose (Przymusik) Aniolek.
John was a life-long resident of Rotterdam. He operated his own automotive repair shop, where he had gained many friends throughout the years. He also worked for Glendale Nursing Home. John loved NASCAR and was an avid fisherman.
John is survived by his wife of many years, Janet Aniolek; a brother; Theodore Aniolek; five children, and several grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 in John's name.
