John A. Corey

LATHAM-John A. Corey, Jr. 61, of Latham passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital. John was born in Troy, NY the son of John "Jack", Sr. and Susan (Boland) Corey. He has resided in Latham for most of his life. John served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany for three years. He was the owner of Critter's Choice and Feline Fantasies. For the past 24 years, he loved caring for all the animals and talking to their owners. John was a talkative person and would often give advice to his clients about how to fix any problems with their pets. He loved to talk about the pets and any current events. John even had nicknames for all the pets.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife Mary (Peters) Corey and his loving pets Molly, Roxie, Roxie, Sweetie and Kozzie.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd. Latham.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204 in memory of John.
