John A."Jack" Shambo

Schenectady - John A. "Jack" Shambo, 72, passed away on February 20, 2016 after a brief illness.
John was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on June 30, 1943, to the late John M. and Gertrude (Dziubek) Shambo.
John worked at the General Electric Company for over 30 years. He also worked for Hertz Rental Car and Northway Auto Auction until his illness. John enjoyed working and meeting people, as well as traveling with his wife, Judith.
John is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Judith; son John "Jay" Shambo; daughter, Michelle "Shelley" Shambo; step-daughter, Michelle Archanian; grandsons: Zachary and Joshua Archanian; siblings: Barbara Osborne, Ronald (Laura) Shambo, Gail (John) Rufer and Paul (Ida) Shambo; cousins: Stanley (Theresa) Fiminiski and MaryAnn Fiminski; along with many other family members and friends he deeply cared about.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, February 24 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 25 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in John's name to any local animal rescue facility.
