John A. Rogers

COLONIE - John A. Rogers, 71, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday December 18, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Hudson and was the son of the late Victor and Theresa DeJoy Rogers.
John was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He attended Albany Schools and had worked for 10 years at Railway Express. John then worked for 28 years with New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs, retiring in 2000. John was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed a good full life.
He is the brother of Fran Nicholson of Castleton, Robert Rogers of Port Charlotte, FL., Teri Wagoner of Sylmar, CA., Laurie Rogers of Latham, Mary Lou Weserman of Colonie, Jody Miller of Sylmar, CA and the late Victor Rogers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A prayer service will be held at 12 noon followed by burial at St. Agnes Cemetery.
