John G. Albright

April 21, 1943 — June 4, 2021

Albany- John G. Albright, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late John S. and Ruth (Gileman) Albright. John was a devoted husband and was married to his best friend Sheila. They were married 53 years.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer, and Kristen Albright; and loving canine companion Abby.

John had a fondness for animals. He was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with his family.

As a youth, John participated in Boy Scouts and earned the highest rank becoming an Eagle Scout. John loved camping, especially at Letchworth State Park.

John enjoyed participating in and watching a variety of sports. He had an interest in antique cars. Some of John's favorite things to do were collecting coins, completing word search puzzles, playing lottery scratch offs, and listening to music. Some of his favorite artists included John Lennon, Elvis, Willie Nelson, and Rod Stewart.

He was a member of the Teamsters Local 294 and retired in 1989 due to illness.

Services will be private.
