John C. Barbagallo

Albany - John C. Barbagallo, 73, passed away peacefully Friday, December 2, 2016 surrounded by his family. He is the son of the late Gaeton and Agnes Barbagallo.
John worked as a head mechanic for Freihofers for 29 years. Upon retiring he worked for South Colonie Schools and Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Home. John enjoyed spending his time camping, fishing, hunting, and watching Nascar. He mostly loved joking around and spending time with all of his family and friends.
John is survived by his brother William (Heather) Barbagallo. His daughters Dawn, Gina (Arthur Hauser III), Tara (Stuart Ferguson Jr.). His granddaughters Theresa and Jacklyn, great grandson Caleb. Sister in laws Anne Marie and Anna and many close nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Marcia (Rafferty), brothers Thomas, Edwin, sister Lillian and her husband Peter Kelly.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 9:00am at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205. Interment will follow Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
