Colonie, NY- On Thursday, May 6, 2021, John R. Bremm, age 90, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family.
John was born on January 30, 1931, in Albany, NY. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. He was a proud member of the Naval Reserve for several years. John had a huge smile, a kind word for everyone he met, and was always cracking jokes. He loved photography and long car rides, but most of all, his family. Beginning with the love of his life, Lucy Bremm (Paolucci) whom he met on a blind date in 1950, they married on July 4, 1955. They had three daughters: twins, Deborah Bremm (Rick Wolcott), Diana Bremm (Mike Sanchez) and Johanna Bremm. They were proud grandparents to seven grandchildren: Tara Giuffre (Mike), Ryan Morin (Lindsay), Justin Morin (Bella Colon), Ashley Boland (Derek Breslin), Jenna Antenucci (Nick), Brittney Boland, and Amelia Palmer (Dusty Vosburgh).
He is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Alexandra, Reagan, Lily, Julianna, Landon, Rory, and William. He was also a proud uncle to many, many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Bremm (Isabel).
He is predeceased by his parents, Alfred Bremm and Mildred (Kelly); his sister, Joan Thomas, and his son-in-law, Michael Palmer, as well as his furry companions, Woody and Pookie.
