John A. Celebucki

John A. Celebucki, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Albany Medical Center with his loving wife and sons by his side.
He was born in Schenectady, the son of the late John and Wanda Celebucki.
John graduated from Linton High School, Schenectady, NY. He proudly served with the United States Army and reserves.
John married his wife on 50 years, Geraldine Osterman on April 4, 1970, and together they raised their two sons.
John worked at several car dealerships as a body repairman before retiring from the Town of Guilderland Highway Department after 27 years of service.
As a young man, John enjoyed playing his accordion with a group of friends in a band. He spent many summers at Cossayuna Lake water skiing at his parents camp. He also enjoyed the years spent with his family boating and camping, as well as hunting and fishing with his sons.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his grandparents Adam and Gertrude Derkowski, his brother Thomas Celebucki and his grandson, Collin W. Cernik.
John is survived by his wife Geraldine Celebucki, his sons, Kenneth (Jennifer) Celebucki and Jason Celebucki. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Britney, Mason & Corey Celebucki.
Funeral services were private due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
