Troy - John H. Crandall, 73, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital.
Born on June 10, 1944 in Berlin, John was honorably discharged from the Navy after four years of service. He retired from Albany International Felt after 20 years. John was a huge sports fan. He loved watching his Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Braves games. John always had a dog to love and play with through the years.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Frances Crandall; child, James Crandall (Loree); grandchild Thomas Crandall; brother, Robert Crandall (Diane); sisters, Millie Mize and Helen Whalen; nephew, Scott Crandall (Melissa); nieces, Karen Crandall, Linda Crandall, Michele Whalen, Stephanie Kirwan (Scott), and their children Edward and James Kirwan.
A memorial service for John will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
