Latham - John V. Currier, 75, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021 with his loving wife by his side. John was born in Albany where he lived until moving to Latham in 1996 with his wife, Catherine Reamer.
John retired from the New York State Governor's Office of Employee Relations as the Executive Deputy Director. Prior to his career with the State, he was proud of his work as a mason, having built many fireplaces in homes in and around Albany.
In addition to his wife Cathy, he is survived by his three daughters, three step-daughters and many grandchildren.
Time spent with family brought him his greatest joy, especially his time with his grandchildren.
As well as his story-telling and sense of humor, John will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and great capacity to love.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Tuesday December 14, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
