John D. Craft

COLONIE – John D. Craft, 88, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late John H. and Prudence A. Craft. John served in the US Army during WWII. He had worked for NY Central Railroad, Eastern Tablet Company and more recently at Albany Medical Center. He was a former member of American Legion Post 1019 and the North Greenbush Fire Department. John enjoyed square dancing and wintering in Florida.
He was predeceased in 2010 by his beloved wife of 63 years, Pearl S. Craft. John is the devoted father of Deborah Craft and Jacalyn Ortiz. He is the brother of Robert D. Kraft. John is the grandfather of Daniel Vellett and Casaandra Ortiz.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 noon to 1:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at in Memory Gardens.
