John E. Edson, 71, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2015 at Ellis Hospital with his family by his side.
John was born November 11, 1943, at Chittenden, Vermont, the son of the late William and Catherine (Mohan) Edson.
John worked for the Pruskowski Dairy Farm in Guilderland, NY.
He loved watching NASCAR, watching westerns, spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother, Donald Edson, Horace Edson and Clifford Francis.
John is survived by his loving wife of over 35 years, Marcia G. (Pruskowski) Edson, he is the cherished father of Linda Edson, Sara (Jeff Beattie) Edson and Matthew Edson. He is the adored grandfather of Jeffrey "Bear", Cheyenne, Logan, Chloee, Carson, Lucas, Kaiden and Nancy. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Gibeault and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions to the Guilderland Center Fire Department, 30 School Road, Guilderland Center, NY 12085 in John's memory.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, February 24,2015 at 7:30 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be on Saturday February 28,2015 at 10:00 am at Schenectady Memorial Park.
