COLONIE – John E. Louzon, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Ellis Hospital.
John was born on October 6, 1936 in Moriah, NY and was the son of the late Edward John and Edna Louise (Phaneuf) Louzon. He was a graduate of Watervliet High School and served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959 in Germany.
John was a foreman for Norton Co. in Watervliet for over 35 years before retiring in the late 1990's. He enjoyed sports, the NY Yankees, the NY Giants and coached little league for St. Francis de Sales Church. He turned into a cat lover after he saw his first mouse. He leaves behind his favorite cat, Buddy.
John is survived by his loving daughter, Susan P. (Patrick O. Sr.) Thompson of East Chatham; his loving son, Mark J. Louzon of Colonie; his cherished grandchildren, SR Airman Patrick O. (Melanie) Thompson, Jr. of North Pole, Alaska and Ashley L. Keller of Colonie. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene P. (Rediker) Louzon and his daughter, Kathleen A. Schmidbauer.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
