Rotterdam- John F. Keppler III, 42, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his home.
Johnny was born to Kathleen Keppler, and John F. Keppler Jr., on January 28, 1973 in Albany, NY. John was a graduate of Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam, NY.
John will be remembered for being a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoying his summers at the SPAC. Johnny's passion in life was his friends. His friends will remember the good times they spent with Johnny at Phish concerts.
In 1994 John suffered a life changing accident that left him a quadriplegic. John's spirit didn't let this get the better of him. He continued to live his life to the fullest. Throughout the last 21 years John has had a devoted team of friends, nurses, and aides that assisted him on a daily basis and enabled him to live in his own home.
Johnny is predeceased by his grandparents; John F. and Elizabeth Keppler Sr., his aunt, Eileen Keppler, his brother, Paul Keppler.
Johnny is survived by his mother, Kathleen Keppler, his father, John F. (Paula) Keppler Jr., his brother, Michael (Jennifer) Keppler, his uncle, Thomas (Donna) Keppler, his aunt, Ellen (Steve) Brown, his nephew, Benjamin Keppler, and several cousins, and friends, especially Jim Wallace, and Diana Page.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will take place at Blessed Sacrament Chruch, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206, on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 9:00am.
