PITTSTOWN - John E. Fisk, 53, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends at York Hospital while vacationing in York, Maine.
John was born on October 12, 1963 in Troy and was the son of the late Haley and Patricia (Heffern) Fisk. He graduated from Heatly High School in Green Island - Class of 1981. He was a mechanic for Cahill's Garage in Hoosick for over 20 years. John was very involved with the Boy Scout Troop 537 in Brunswick, where he worked with the boys and was known as the "Bottle King". He enjoyed camping, working on cars and helping family and friends in need.
John is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda M. (Simonik) Fisk; his devoted sons, Adam and Nicholas Fisk; his siblings, Joseph (Kathleen) Fisk, Paul (Dawn) Fisk, Ticia (Harold) Littlejohn, Margo (Norten) Milne, Debbie (Jeff) Coonradt, Lisa (Mike) Julian, Lori (late Jim) Pompey, Ed Fisk, Peter Fisk, Patrick (Vicki) Fisk and David Fisk; his mother-in-law, Rose Simonik and his sister-in-law, Lori Bailie. John is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his father-in-law, Joseph Simonik.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 4th from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Boy Scout Troop 537, 39 Gurley Ave., Troy, NY 12182 in memory of John.
