GLENVILLE - John Joseph Forster, 73 of Glenville, died peacefully on April 11,2022, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Albany on January 12, 1949, to the late Owen Hood Forster and Marion Marshall Forster, John was a life long resident of the Albany, Colonie and Glenville areas.
John was a Viet Nam-era military veteran, serving honorably in the US Army from 1966 through 1970 and again from 1973 to 1977. He enjoyed his family, fishing, playing cards, The Hallmark Channel and Coca Cola. He was retired from the State of New York, Office of General Services and the Golub Corporation.
John is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Forster, his daughter, Miranda Forster Selbst, and her wife, Vanessa; son, Travis Forster, and wife, Shannon; son, Nicholas Forster and wife Brittany; seven beloved grandchildren with another on the way, as well as a sister, Lorraine M. Forster.
John was pre-deceased by siblings Jeanne Lysiak, Owen, Shirley, Thomas and James Forster.
