John R. Graver, 54, of Schenectady NY passed suddenly from the life he loved into the arms of Jesus early Friday morning, February 15, 2013. John was passionate about his faith, his family and his friends. He loved fishing, soccer, old westerns, day trips, target practice, Lebanon Valley, quality time spent with his son John at French and Indian War reenactments, helping his friends, but most of all he loved living life simply, spending quiet nights at home just holding hands with his precious wife Carole. John was a Master Carpenter with a reputation for excellence. He owned his own business, John R. Graver Builders, Inc. and genuinely loved doing quality work for others. John had a heart of gold, always putting others before himself. He touched many lives with his kindness, thoughtfulness, gentleness and his beautiful smile. Those he touched were changed forever. From the very young to those older, John treated everyone with love and respect. His relationship with Jesus Christ was the top priority of his life. He passionately worshiped - dancing and singing for our Lord. John was a valuable, trusted member of the Leadership Team of Capital City Church, and exemplified a true servant's heart as he selflessly ministered to others. John was a sincere friend to all who knew him, and his passing leaves a great void in the lives of all those who love him.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Carole McCormack Graver of Schenectady, whom he married on April 29, 2012. He is the loving father of John Graver, Jr. of Manhattan and Laura E. Graver of Delmar and loving stepfather to Sara Bishop of Rotterdam, Patrick McCormack of Schenectady and Jianna Benardo of Schenectady. John also leaves behind his mother Machiko Graver of Albany and his siblings William C. Graver, IV (Shirley) of W. Sand Lake, Daniel E. Graver (Patti) of W.
