John Edward Harrigan

Delmar- John Edward Harrigan, 85, of Delmar NY died April 11, 2025 in Troy, NY with his family by his side.

John was born August 8, 1939 in Albany NY, to Harry P. Harrigan and Anna Heller Harrigan.

He graduated from CBA and Hudson Valley Community College. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He worked 25 years for NYS DOT. His great love was motor cycling racing. He raced numerous tracks across the Eastern US, including Daytona Speed Way and Laconia New Hampshire where he set a track record against the top competitors from across the US. He is survived by his siblings Arthur H. Harrigan, Julia and Art Maxon, Joseph and Rosemary Harrigan and Paul and Colleen Harrigan and his good friend Don Mosher and many nieces and nephews. Services for the family will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank The Collar City Nursing Home nurses and staff and those of the Community Care, St Peter' Hospice who took excellent care of John.
