MECHANICVILLE- John A. Hayostek, age 79, passed away suddenly at Ellis Hospital on October 20, 2023.
He was born in Cohoes, the son of the late John and Mary Hayostek.
John retired from GE in Schenectady after almost 39 years of service as a Welder.
He was an avid bowler, he enjoyed the outdoors and loved watching the birds. He loved being around his grandchildren and family and weekly coffee dates with his sister.
John is survived by his wife, Candyce Sarris; children: Mark (Pam) Bisaillon, Todd Bisaillon and Johnna Hawes; sister, Mary Ann Reutter; step children: Gary Bottomley and Ron Fowler; grandchildren: Emma, Tierney, TJ and Delaney Bisaillon, Sascha and Vienna Hawes, Garrett Bottomley and Stella Wands-Fowler; nephew, Michael Smith; and nieces: Robin Amell and Kelly Adair.
All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Veterans Miracle Center, 10 Interstate Avenue, Albany, NY 12205.
