John "Jack" J. Carnevale, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at St. Peters Hospital with his family by his side.
Jack was born on June 26, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late John and Ruth (Barbric) Carnevale.
Jack was a resident of the Village of Colonie for many years. He was a graduate of CBA and then he received his bachelor's degree from Siena College.
Jack proudly served with the United States Army as a Medic during the Korean War.
He was the owner and operator of Carnevale's Superama.
Jack was a loving family man who hosted many family gatherings and one of the many things he will be remembered for was how he enjoyed cutting coupons and going out to eat.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Jennifer M. Carnevale, his grandson, Harrison "Harry" K. Carnevale and his brother Anthony "Tony" Carnevale.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Charlene (Kross) Carnevale, his beloved children, Michael (Sherry) Carnevale of Albany, John T. Carnevale of Cohoes, Joseph Carnevale of Saratoga, Gary (Kathy Neal) Carnevale of Voorheesville. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Donna Carnevale and his adored grandchildren, Abigail and Camille Carnevale, Emily (Jerome) Mopsik and Kassi Neal.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
