ALBANY - John "Jack" J. Lambert, 82, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Teresian House.
Jack was born on March 29, 1924 in Brooklyn and was the son of the late Joseph and Emma Brooks Lambert. He resided in Albany most of his life and served in the 11th Airborne during WWII. In addition to owning his own business he was a retired teacher from BOCES. He loved to sing and dance. He attended Cornell University and was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. James Church.
Jack is survived by his loving daughter, Carol Ann Lambert and his loving granddaughter, Christina Ann Lambert both of Latham; his wife, Ruth Cary Lambert of Delmar; his sister, Mary (Randal) Carhart of Pittsfield, MA; his brother, Robert J. (Ruth) Lambert of Delmar; many nieces and nephews and friend, Bill W. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph J. Lambert, Jr. and Louis Lambert.
Funeral services will be Wednesday evening at 7:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155 – south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of John J.
