Boynton Beach, Fl.- John J. O'Shea, 87, passed away surrounded by his family. Born in Albany he was the son of the late James and Jennie O'Shea. John worked as a Master Mechanic for 38 years for Conrail retiring in 1978. He was a communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, past- president of Tropical Breeze Estates in Boynton Beach, a member of the Boynton Beach Democrats, and a member of the Guilderland Elks for many years. Among his many interests John enjoyed politics, Notre Dame Football, he was an avid Tiger Woods fan, and spending time on the ocean.
Family members include his beloved wife of 49 years the late Mona (Gulliver) O'Shea, his daughter Sandra J. Wilmot of Malta and her late husband George L. Wilmot, granddaughters Teri L. Wilmot of Malta, Lori A. Wilmot-Buonora and her husband Craig of Albany, two sisters the late Evelyn Monroe and the late Rita Mantey, his niece Diane Gulliver and several other nieces and nephews. Family also includes his second wife of 15 years the late Marie (Harris) O'Shea, stepson Charles Harris and his wife Donna of Guilderland, step-grandchildren Lynn (Harris) Paradowski and her husband Wayne, the late Michael Harris, and step-great-granddaughter Amber Paradowski.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11:00 Am at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in memory of John J. O'Shea.
