John J. Sansone

GUILDERLAND – John J. Sansone, 61, of Guilderland, passed away peacefully on Friday evening at the Inn of Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Albany to the late Dominick and Vivian Sansone.
John had served in the US Army from 1968 through 1974. He was a supervisor for many years with the US Postal Service, retiring in 2005. John enjoyed fishing, bocce, bowling and traveling with his family. He was a member of the Joseph Zaloga American Legion Post and the Italian Benevolent Society in West Albany.
He is the beloved husband of Patricia (Fennell) Sansone. He is the devoted father of Christine Pucci and Dominick Sansone. He is the brother of Thomas Sansone and Nickolas Dalton. Cherished grandfather of Christine and Nicholas. Great grandfather of Damian. John is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
The family would like to thank the dedicated nursing staff at St. Peters Hospital and Hospice Inn for their kind and compassionate care.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of John J. Sansone.
