John "Jack" E. Heermance

John “Jack” E. Heermance, 69, husband of Sherry Dimmick-Heermance, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 10th, 2025.

Born on January 1st, 1956, in Hudson, NY. He was the son of the late Edward and Carmella Heermance.

Jack attended Colonie School District and began working shortly thereafter. He began his career black topping with his longtime friend, Tommy Miller. He spent the majority of his career doing what he loved, truck driving and spending time on the open road. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching the horses go around the track and waiting for the Buffalo stampede. Jack was well known at the local Stewarts; he would wake up each morning and have his coffee and scratch offs while spending time with his friends. Jack loved to reminisce with his friends about old times.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Dimmick-Heermance, daughter, Brittany Heermance (Dustin), Candice Heermance (Rusty), and two grandchildren, LJ (Joseph) Carey and LA (Layla) Mone; his many siblings, Edward, Bernadette (Tom), Marshall, Ernest, Leslie, and Kimberly. He is also survived by a wonderful and caring in-law family as well as many nieces/nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Edward Heermance, mother, Carmella Heermance as well as Orazio Zocco. He was also predeceased by his two brothers Michael and Harold Heermance.

Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 6:00pm at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205.
