John "Jack"J. Mullen

WATERVLIET - John "Jack" J. Mullen, 70, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany.
Jack was born on September 7, 1938 in Troy and was the son of the late John J. and Mary E. (Shaughnessy) Mullen. He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1961 and spent time in Korea. He was working as a security guard for the NYSOCFS at the time of his death; prior to that he worked as a salesman for Mershaw of America. He enjoyed watching old movies, was an avid NY Yankees fan and a member of the Teamsters Local 966.
Jack is survived by his children, Marcy A. Mullen and Sean J. (Jessica) Mullen; his grandchildren, Devon, Anthony, Ryan, Ayden and Kenrick; his brothers, William (Carolyn) Mullen, Joseph Mullen and Thomas Mullen; his nephew, Joseph Mullen and his niece, Lori (Michael) Haggerty.
A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Watervliet. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
