CLIFTON PARK – John (Jim) J. Kot, 76, of Clifton Park, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 20, 2011.
Jim was born on May 7, 1934 in Albany and was the son of the late Marion (Morie) Little and Michael Kot. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. For the past 11 years he was working for Manheim of Albany Auto Auction; prior to that he retired from the University Auxiliary Services for SUNY Albany as a supervisor. He was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club and the Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Jim is the beloved husband of Geraldine (Gerry) Chmiel Kot. He is the devoted father of Christine Kot, Paul (Lisa J.) Kot, Lynn (Ken) Brown, and the late Jim Kot. He is the brother of William Kot and Bernice Pavone. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Dustin (Aimee), Alyssa, Travis, and Carly and 2 great-grandchildren, Reilly and Lila.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (today) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
