John J. Johnson

John Joseph James Johnson, "Jets", 65, of Watervliet, succumbed to his 11 year battle with cancer at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on the 13th of October 2022.
John had a passion for most sports especially soccer where as a freshmen in High School he played varsity soccer. He also loved the NY Yankees, NY Giants, silly jokes, and his family.
John was predeceased in death by his father, Richard Johnson, his mother Mary (Bishop) Johnson, his sister Rosemary (Johnson) Bultman, and his second wife Tina (Gabriel) Johnson.
He is survived by his sister Maureen Johnson (Shelia Allen) and his two brothers, Paul & Richard Johnson. Also, survived by his first wife, Veronica (Joseph Guerrette) their three girls, Jennifer (Earl Barse Jr.), Rachel (Stephanie Guerrette) and Kendra (Kurt Griffin). He is also survived by Miranda Johnson and Kevin (Amber Castle), children to his late wife, Tina Gabriel Johnson. Multiple nieces, nephews, and grandchildren will remember John and honor him in all years to come. He was a man that always cared about everyone else and brought a smile to our faces no matter how he was feeling. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY on Friday October 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private.
