John J. Keleher

November 20, 1949 — July 23, 2021

COLONIE- John J. "Jack" Keleher, age 71, passed away on July 23, 2021 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Albany, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Dorothea Keleher. He was predeceased by his sister Eileen Keleher.

In Jack's retirement years, he enjoyed working at the Town of Colonie Golf Course and going to his grandchildren's sporting events in Maine. Jack was a dedicated coach for Colonie Little League. He had a love of history and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra; two sons: Jason and Justin (Michelle); grandchildren: Tarynn, Sidney, Evan and Elliot; aunt, Sister Barbara Dudley, Sister of Mercy. Also survived by his god daughter, Dawn (Dudley) Jones: several nieces, nephews and his feline friend, Fidget.

The family would like to thank Gina Fabrizio and Cathy Walsh from the CDPHP Patient Care Team and Ellis Hospital ICU Unit nurses and staff and a special thanks to Dr. David Liebers and Dr. Micheline Ford for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hour from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 1803 Union Street, Niskayuna. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack's memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
