COLONIE – John (Jack) L. Phillips, 72, of Colonie, passed away on Monday September 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Jack and Sarabelle Phillips. Jack had served as a Sergeant with the New York State National Guard. He was employed with Tobin Packing Company and New York State Department of Education for several years. Jack was a talented craftsman and cherished time with his family.
He is the beloved father of John T. (Rhonda) Phillips Jr., Kevin G. (Suzanne) Phillips, Victoria (Richard) Kramer, Scott (Tina) Phillips and Eric (Kim Cohen) Phillips. He is the brother of Ronald (Shirley) Phillips, Kathyanne Wilson and the late Linda L. Widener and Sandra Phillips. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private. To leave a special message for the family online, visit NewcomerAlbany.com
