John Martin Cummings, 65, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
John was the son of the late John Cummings and Christianne Cummings.
He volunteered with numerous cat rescue organizations, He loved cycling, riding with several groups, including HRRT. He enjoyed traveling and seeing his friends in Spain.
John is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Fero) Cummings; he is the brother of David Cummings and his long time partner Nancy Polachek. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Paco and Pablo.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Happy Cat Rescue, Inc. PO Box 5424 Albany, NY 12205 in John's memory.
