ROTTERDAM – John M. D'Ambrosio, 55, of Rotterdam, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Glens Falls Hospital. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late John and Catherine D'Ambrosio.
John was a 1972 graduate of Linton High School. He had worked for several years at Ruth's Garage in Colonie and Clifton Park. John was a car and truck enthusiast and he enjoyed attending car shows. He was always puttering with one his cars or repairing anything mechanical. John loved animals and will be dearly missed by his four cats.
He is the beloved husband of 22 years to Donna Racicot D'Ambrosio. He is the brother of Carol (Tom) Clark and the uncle of Tommy Clark, Ann Marie Sharer and Katie Parsons. John is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. In keeping with John's love for animals and at the request of his family, memorial contributions are suggested to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53, Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302, in memory of John M. D'Ambrosio.
