MALTA, NY – John M. Flood, 45, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 4, 2008. He was born in Albany, and lived in Colonie for most of his life. John was a self-employed landscaper. He enjoyed driving his corvette and riding his motorcycle. John is the beloved son of Robert G. and Rosalie J. Flood. He is the loving husband of Susan E. Flood and the devoted father of Shana Flood. John is the loving brother of Bobby (Teri) Flood, Jim (Monica) Flood and Cherie (David) Voss. John is the cherished grandson of Geraldine Alderman. He is the son-in-law of Bill and Cathy Sumner and brother-in-law of Tina (Eric) Sumner. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as his special pets, "T.J." and "Raymond." The Flood family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the surgical intensive care unit at Albany Medical Center Hospital as well as all of John's many friends who came to visit him and give support to his family.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in memory's Garden, Colonie.
