John J. Mcgraw, Jr.

October 19, 1957 — March 15, 2017

John J. McGraw Jr. of Albany passed away suddenly on March 15, 2017.

John was born on October 19, 1957, and was a long-time resident of Albany.

He enjoyed being an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and family time. John, "Pepa,"as we called him, loved and cherished his children and grandchildren. With fun, laughs and him being a prankster, he kept the fun alive in all he knew.

John was the son of Thelma Froehlich and the late John McGraw Sr.

John is survived by his four children, Louis Allegra (Deanna), Nicholas McGraw (Sylvia), John McGraw III (Chrissy) and Joseph McGraw; his grandchildren, Tiani, Nicholas, Dominic, Bianca, Nasjeriah, Jayden and Jovonni; and great-grandson, Amir. He is also survived by his siblings, Diane, Anne Ladd (Thomas), Faith Gardy (John), Mary, Edward, Harold and Michael McGraw; many nieces and nephews, and the mother of his children, Sunday McGraw; and ex-wife, Laura Cobb. He was also predeceased by his sister, Patricia McGraw Milgo.

Viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. with services from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
