John P. Boyle, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Mar 06, 2013 at his Residence, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Albany, to the late Philip and Jane (Kent) Boyle. John graduated from St. Josephs Academy and Albany Business College. He proudly served with the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked for over 40 years with D & H Railroad until his retirement and after worked closely with his wife, Anna with the 3rd order of St. Frances of Assisi outreach program. He enjoyed gardening, vacationing in the Adirondacks and spending time with his family. John was a caregiver to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one sister, two brothers and his son-in-law Gustav Hufland, Jr.
John is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years, Anna (Morreale) Boyle; his cherished daughters, Mildred Hufland, Annamarie (Robert) Roemer and Sharon (Vincent) Budka; he is the adored grandfather of 8 and 12 great grandchildren. He is the brother of Sister Ellen Boyle, RSM and Marie Neidl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Community Hospice of Albany County, for all of the care and compassion given to John.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Mar 09, 2013 at the St. Pius X Church, Loudonville at 10 am. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
