Loudonville- John Patrick Patzarian, 79, passed away Thursday March 20, 2008 after a short illness.
John was born in Troy the son of the late Arshak and Hareka Patzarian of Armenia and he was a lifelong capital district resident. He is a graduate of Russell Sage College who enjoyed fishing, carpentry and music, especially classical and opera. John worked diligently for numerous Auto Dealerships throughout the area, most notably Bumstead Chevrolet in Troy. Many of John's customers were known to follow him from dealership to dealership.
John loved his family dearly and was very proud of his home in Loudonville, for it was the focal point for many backyard barbecues and swimming lessons. He is predeceased by his first wife Joyce A. Martin and his second wife Lois McKay.
He is survived by his children; Mary (Hakim) Diaz of Chesapeake, VA, David (Caren) Patzarian of New Scotland, William Patzarian of Plantation, Fla. and Christine Patzarian of Loudonville, grand children; Stephanie, Sierra, Christian, Samuel and Lindsay, one great-grandchild; Damien Michael. John is also survived by Joan Wittman, who was his loving companion of 17 years and a wonderful caregiver, especially the last months.
The funeral service will be held 10:00am Wednesday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery.
