John Post

ALBANY – John N. Post Jr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's.
John was born on January 16, 1927 in Brooklyn to the late John N. and Fannie E. Post. He served in the US Army during WWII attaining the rank of Private. He was a cook for Dorsey Restaurant in Albany.
John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jeanette Post; a daughter; a sister, Catherine B. Post; six stepchildren, William, Jennifer, Patricia, Derrick, Anthony and Stacie; a niece, Leslie Post and a host of many other family and friends.
He was predeceased by a stepson, Vernon and a sister, Thiral Harry.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville on Monday at 10:00a.m.
