Schenectady – John "Jack" Snow, 72, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on February 4, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was born in Saranac Lake, NY to the late Ross and Phoebe Baker. Jack was a roofer and construction worker and assisted with several large projects. He worked on the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Chapel at West Pointe. He later worked for the YMCA as their night security guard, and then retired in 2008. Jack loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed coaching at Northside little league. In addition to his parents Jack was predeceased by his sister, Joan Weatherwax.
Jack is survived by his loving wife on 53 years, Vivian Snow; he is the loving father of Jacqueline (Peter) Kemmer, Sharon (Anthony) Bianco, Raymond (Vickie) Snow, Lorraine (Dave) Rector and Patsy Snow. Jack is the beloved grandfather of Tiffany, Joey, Matthew, Nick, Steve, John, Joshua, Christopher, Patrick and Billy. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and Interment will be Private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association in New York, 116 John St., 30th floor, New York, New York 10038 in Jack's memory.
