John R. Ross

Schenectady- John R. Ross, 93, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 23, 2017 with his loving family by his side. John was the son of the late John Joseph and Sadie Ross. John was the devoted husband to Dorothy Ross. They shared 65 loving years together.
John was an avid golfer and bowler. He spent his entire working career at the General Electric R & D Center in Niskayuna. John honorably and faithfully served in the United States Army during World War II.
John is survived by his children, Patricia (Daniel) Gillespie, Scott (Martha) Ross, Daniel (Colleen) Ross,Nancy (Darroch) Moores and the late John Wesley Ross; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his two sisters, Ida Mae Schultes and Dorothy Ross.
A Private Funeral Service will be held Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Donations may be made in John's memory to the Eastern Parkway United Methodist Church, 943 Palmer Ave., Schenectady, NY 12309.
