John J. Ross

Albany- John J. Ross, 65 peacefully passed away at home on Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by family.
Born in raised in Albany, John attended Albany High and went on to work in the transportation industry as a taxi dispatcher for many years.
John truly enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, every day. He loved spending his days at OTB, going to A.A. and being surrounded by family and friends. But most of all, John was a doting father to his two daughters Katherine Clark and Casey Ann.
Anyone who knew John, AKA "Wimpy" knew he had a heart of gold. Known for his funny idioms, made up words and a nickname to anyone he came across; he was bound to leave a smiling impression.
John is survived by his two daugthers; Katherine and Casey and two brothers David Ross and Vincent Ross. He will also continue to be loved by his cousins, many great nieces and nephews and especially adored by his caretaker Cristal J. Ramundo.
In addition to his parents, Edward J. Ross and Dorothy P. Ross, John will be reunited in heaven with his baby sister Susie and wife Stacey Ann McGuinness.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5pm-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral ceremony will begin at 6pm
