John S. Petrecky

COLONIE – John S. Petrecky, 52, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 29, 2009. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late John and Mary Jean Petrecky. He was a Colonie resident for all of his life. John was currently working at United Group for almost twenty years. He was a previous board member and road captain with Spitzie's where he recently finished his primary officer's training, a member of the Berkshire H.O.G. Club Riders out of Ronnie's Harley Davidson and a member of H.O.G.'s for Hospice. John's Harley was his life. When he wasn't working he was riding his Harley. John is the beloved father of Joshua J. Petrecky of Fayetteville, NC. He is the devoted brother of Gail A. (Ronald) Elliott of Austinville, VA and the cherished uncle of Ronald Elliott, Jr. of Boston, MA and Jeannie Jaeger of Mt. Morris, NY.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
