John T. Collier

ALBANY – John T. Collier, 85, formerly of Boston, MA, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Boston, MA where he lived for most of his life. John was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy. He worked as a self-employed contractor for many years and was an avid and talented photographer.

John is the beloved father of Daniel and Shirley Collier and the late John T. Collier Jr. He is the devoted grandfather of Daniel, Tammy, Jason, Kenneth, Christopher and Jake. He is the cherished great-grandfather of Greg, Kiersten, Sierra, Aiden and Sierra and great-great-grandfather of Aiden. Also surviving is his brother, William Collier.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
