John Francis Watkins

John Francis Watkins, 88, of Menands, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
He was the son of the late Charles J. and Helen M. (Markowski) Watkins.
John served as an Albany Police Officer through the 1950s, early 1960s.
He then became a legislative aide in the NYS Senate, retiring in 1985.
He was also a proud member of the NYS Rifle and Pistol Association.
Survivors include a son, Reginald J. (Teresa) Watkins, a daughter, Veronica (The Late Richard) Mokhiber, a granddaughter Danielle and great-grandchildren also survive. John is also survived by a sister, Antoinette (Dean) Poli of Amherst, Mass. John was predeceased by his son-in-law Richard Mokhiber and by his granddaughter Ericka Kienle.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
