ALBANY- John W. Zampier of Albany, NY, age 90, died peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. He was born in Troy, NY, on February 21, 1932.
John was a graduate of Siena College in Albany, NY, where he played basketball. He worked as the Assistant Vice President for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of NENY for many years and worked as a consultant for Blue Shield of NENY after his retirement.
John served in the 101st Airborne Infantry Division. He was an avid golfer and member of Pinehaven Country Club.
John is survived by his wife, Linda Zampier; his son, John Zampier Jr. (Bridget) and granddaughters, Harper and Sage.
Funeral services will be private.
