EAST GREENBUSH, Johnnie B. Jones, 86, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

Johnnie was born in Matherville, MS to the late Johnnie and Mary Jones on June 24, 1930. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Corporal. Professionally, Johnnie worked construction for 45 years and was a jack-of-all-trades. Philanthropically, he served as a Freemason as a member of Sons of Isaac Lodge No. 35 since 1964. Socially, he was an avid bowler and loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-children.

Johnnie was predeceased by his son Jerry Jones; brothers J.D., Staten and Cecil Jones; and sisters Ada Colley and Daisy Howard.

Johnnie is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Jones, son Larry Jones, daughter Cynthia Jones, brothers Al and Elmer Jones, sister Dorothy Jean Carlisle, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 10:00am-12:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery.
