ALBANY - Jonathan Smith, 48, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late William and Anna Smith.

Jonathan had worked as a Clerk for NYS Department of Motor Vehicles and as a Computer/Telephone Operator at the CSEA Union office. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed basketball, football and boxing. Jonathan will be remembered as a man with a big heart who loved his family, his mother, his nieces and nephews.

He was the loving brother of Sheila (Smith) Reid and was predeceased by Brenda Rollins, William (Billy) Smith, Jr. and Randy Smith; Uncle of Richard "Rallah" Rollins, Demere Hannah and Rallah Rollins, Anneesha Smith (Sahamal Reid), Daneesha Croley, Ralasia, Kalashia & Kaloni Rollins and D'Siyah Reid. He was the special friend of Kim Fennel.

A celebration of Jonathan's life will be held on Friday at 12:30pm at St. John's Church of God in Christ, 94 Herkimer Street, Albany. Visitation will be prior to the service at 12 noon at the Church. Interment will follow the services at the Evergreen Memorial Park.
