ALBANY-Jonathan "Willie" Williams 45 passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2016.
He was born on April 15, 1971 to the late John and Janie (Gadsden) Williams in Albany, NY.
Jonathan worked for many years at Prinzo's Bakery in Albany, as a landscaper and most recently for Advantage Transit Group as a driver. He was also a proud volunteer firefighter at the West Albany Fire Department. Tall, skinny, bright eyed, loving, caring and always laughing. He was a devoted uncle and quick to come to the defense of those he cared for. He was a loyal friend, a cherished brother and a kind hearted and giving man.
Willie was a die hard Yankees and Giants fan, was the life of the party and loved to make others smile and laugh.
In the journey of life we all are born and one day we die. The road we travel is up to us. But when God says your journey is over then it's done. We know that you fulfilled your life without worries and regrets and you will be dearly missed by all those who were privileged to have known and loved you.
Jonathan is survived by his daughter; his siblings, Lenora "Lennie" Walker, Alice (Keith Finnegan) Williams, Jason (Stephanie) Williams, Gail "Pat" Perry, Jackie (Joe) Burnett and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Carolyn Walker; brother, Michael Williams and great-nephew Jaden McMorris.
Home going services will be held on December 30, 2016 at 11am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Visitation will be held from 9-11 prior to the service. Interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
