Joseph A. Rose

SCHENECTADY- Joseph A. Rose, 73, of Schenectady passed away on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at his daughter's home after a long illness.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Albert Rose and Katherine Hilton Rose Gokey. Joe was a self employed painting contractor before working for the City of Albany for many years. He retired in 1999.
Joe is the devoted father of Joan (Anthony) Bonificio of Colonie. He is the brother of Albert (Elizabeth) Rose, Zeb Gokey, Katherine Hallenbeck and the late Roland J. Rose, Mary Mason and Ida Gokey. He is the grandfather of Anthony (Shinubo) Bonifico Jr of Singapore and Michelle Bonificio of Colonie. He is the former husband of Anne Hotaling Rose. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd.
