ROTTERDAM-----Joseph Bellicose, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 29, 2022 with his wife by his side after a lengthy illness.
Joe was born in Schenectady, NY to the late John and Michela Bellicose. He was a 1976 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Joe worked at the New York State Department of Labor for 37 years.
He enjoyed bike rides and walks with his wife and family. He was an avid practitioner of Tai Chi and dabbled in Kenpo Karate when he was younger. Spending time with family and friends was precious to him. He loved taking bus trips and traveling to Maine and Florida with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann Bellicose of Rotterdam, NY, Paul and Ara Girard of Pembroke Pines, FL, Joseph and Marylou Girard of Glenville, NY, Mary Girard of Schenectady, NY, several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Many thanks to all of Joe's family and friends who supported him and his wife throughout his illness. The family is grateful for the medical staff of NYOH-Albany Medical Center including Dr. Bellomo, Jackie, Maryjo, Kristen and the rest of the staff.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. All are invited to attend his funeral service following at 12:30 p.m.
