Cohoes- Joseph A. Bolton III, 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Theresa (Gaffney) and Joseph A. Bolton Jr.
Upon graduating from Northeastern University, Joseph went on to work at Bird Machine Company in Walpole, MA before continuing his career at Albany International in Queensbury. An expert in filtration systems, Joseph holds 26 patents. Joseph enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains and the Adirondacks and later playing cards with his friends at Waterside Apartments, but above all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his children, Joseph E. Bolton (Mary) of Leominister, Massachusetts , Peter J. Bolton (Jacquie) of Queensbury, New York, Charlene J. Lanier (Alvin) of Cohoes, New York and Patrick P. Bolton (Suzy) of Voorheesville, New York and their mother, Carol. He was also the loving "Grandad" to his eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Raymond Bolton of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Geraldine Bolton of Warwick, Rhode Island.
Joseph is predeceased by his son David M. Bolton.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189. A service will follow starting at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Following the service the family will be gathering at 3:30pm at The Restaurant at the Pointe, 3 Carondelet Drive, Watervliet, NY 12189. A memorial mass will be held on, February 16th at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro, MA.
