LATHAM - Joseph D. Slish, 86, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at The Manor at Guilderland Center.
Joseph was born on March 30, 1928 in Forrest City, PA and was the son of the late Nicholas and Irene (Ruff) Slish. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Latham for over 32 years before retiring. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Constance F. (Haskins) Slish; his children, Joseph Slish, Richard (Joan) Slish, and Kathleen (Kevin) Henault; his grandchildren, Mandy and Richard Slish and Danielle and Cory Henault; his brother, Nicholas (Sonya) Slish; his sister, Ruth Ann Metsinger and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Bechtoldt.
A service will be held at 12 noon Friday at the St. Agnes Mausoleum Chapel at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
